Communal Reconciliation December 14

Repentance: A Reorientation Of One's Life

The Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us that Christ calls us to conversion and penance. However, this call to conversion and penance does not "aim first at outward works," such as fasting and mortification, "but at the conversion of the heart, interior conversion. Without this, such penances remain sterile and false; however, interior conversion urges expression in visible signs, gestures and works of penance" (CCC No. 1430).

Christ gave us the sacrament of reconciliation as a concrete way of starting this conversion.  This Advent, include confession in your preparation for the coming of Jesus.

Mary Mother will be holding a Communal Reconciliation service Saturday, December 14 at 9:00am in the Church.  Twelve priests will be joining us, as we celebrate this Communal Reconciliation Service with Individual Confession and Absolution (Form II).  We invite you to join us on the journey to Bethlehem.
