Men of the parish, you are invited to dive deeper into your faith this Lent by consecrating yourselves to St. Joseph. What does it mean for a person to be consecrated to St. Joseph? It means that you acknowledge that he is your spiritual father, and you want to resemble him in virtue and holiness. You will entrust yourself entirely into his paternal care so that he can help you acquire his virtues and become holy.
Our 33-day period of preparation begins Monday, February 15. It will conclude March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph. We will meet weekly on Tuesdays, at 6:30, begining February 16. These meetings will be held at Mary Mother, with a virtual option for those who wish.
We will be using Fr. Donald Calloway’s book Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father as a guide. Books are now available at the parish office. The price for these books is $15. Stop by during office hours to pick one up.
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage,
and defend us from every evil. Amen.
To register, fill out the form below.
Additional information on the consecration can be found here.
Women, look for a special opportunity for you at the end of Lent.
