Oath of Fidelity made by Unity Catholic High School on Feast Day of St. John Chrysostom

Today, we celebrated the Feast of St. John Chrysostom, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, whose nickname was “Golden Tongue.” St. John attracted many to our faith, and through the generations people were drawn to the Catholic faith because of his ability to communicate the truth with love.

Today, at Mary, Mother of the Church, we witnessed the teachers and administration of Unity profess their oath of fidelity to the Catholic Church and the Magisterium following the homily at Mass.

We pray, through the intercession of St. John that each will be blessed with a “golden tongue.” Fr. Jim Perkl joined them in making that same oath of fidelity, while encouraging all present and baptized to share the faith with love as did St. John.
