Mickelson, Merlyn F. “Mike” age 91, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Rosemount and Minneapolis, MN. Mike passed away peacefully on April 14, 2018 with with his family near. He was the founder and CEO/President of Fabri-Tek, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of components for the computer industry in its infancy. His work gained international attention, and the memory systems he designed and produced were used in applications such as the first space shuttle, Enterprise, the Concorde jet, and in many military and commercial projects. He was a true man of vision, intelligence, and integrity in every way, whether for business or charitable purposes. He gave endlessly and generously of his time, talent, and resources, and made a difference in so many lives. To his family, Mike was the quiet, strong, gentle, humble, loving, and lovable husband, dad, and grandfather. Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes (Kaveney) Mickelson and eldest daughter, Sharon Mickelson. Survived by devoted daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Iverson and Suellen and Mike McGowan; grandsons, Eric (Melissa Rawana) Iverson and Scott McGowan; granddaughters, Heidi (Jeff) Iverson Sporre and Pamela McGowan Dally; great- grandsons, Zach Martin & Kiran Iverson, and great-granddaughter, Hailey Dally. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 21, at 1 pm at Mary, Mother of the Church, 3333 Cliff Road E., Burnsville, MN 55337. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass at the church.
