Church is not just liturgy! It is also people.

Being “church people” requires all of us to love and serve one another as Christ taught us. We provide opportunities for Mary Mother parishioners and visitors to become better acquainted through a variety of events throughout the year. The Community Life ministry also provides hospitality (refreshments) after Mass and is an integral part of helping to welcome new members into our great faith community.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus at Mary, Mother of the Church is a fraternal service organization dedicated to the parish and to the wider community through prayer, charity, and supportive services. We assist many different groups throughout the year through fundraising and service projects.

There are many ways we serve, all related to our six focus areas: church, community, family, youth, pro-life, and council. Our projects include the Tootsie Roll sale, the Fall Classic Bowling Tournament, maintaining Mary Mother’s pine grove, Adopt-A-Highway, Pancake Breakfast, St. Nicholas weekend, Fire Muster, Honor Guard at funerals and special celebrations, Essay Contest, Scholarships and other student support, pew cleaning and many more. Our council also supports other parish ministries, including Meals at Mary Mother, the Rosary Makers, Thanksgiving Baskets, Military Support Group and many others.

We meet each month at Mary, Mother on the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Room 12.
