60th Anniversary Weekend
We're turning ... 60!
We have been preparing an incredible weekend of faith, fun, and fellowship to celebrate 60 years of Mary, Mother of the Church.
There will be no 8:30am or 11am Mass on Sunday, Sep. 14.
We look forward to celebrating with you! As you arrive, Greeters will welcome and ask invite you to write a nametag – please include the year you joined the parish. At the welcome table you will receive a special Mary, Mother of the Church anniversary prayer card. During Mass, parishioners that joined in the 1960s and 70s will be recognized and prayed for. At the end of both Masses, Fr. Jim will invite everyone to the center pews to take a group picture.
Sat., Sep. 13 – 4:00pm Mass
Adult Choir, with accordion accompaniment by Donna & Susie Osacho. Picnic to follow until 7:30pm.
Sloppy Joes & Hot Dogs, cake, BINGO, photo booth, Bouncy Obstacle Course, lawn games, face painting, live music on the patio, and a beer truck. Bingo - $1 per game; $60 Grand Prize for BINGO. Pepsi products - $1 per can. Beer and Seltzer - $3 per can; (Anyone who appears under the age of 30 will be required to show their ID). Cash only.
We will have some seating for dinner, but you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets.
Sun. Sep. 14 – 10:00am Mass
Exultation and Living Spirit Combined Adult Choirs. Fr. Cletus Basekela, former Associate Pastor of MMOTC, will be joining as a concelebrant.
Ice cream social to follow.
