Below you will find the instructions for assembling a Thanksgiving Basket as well as the sign-up form.
Please sign up
to inform us of how many baskets your family will be donating. Decorated and complete baskets can then be dropped at the Parish Office until November 17th or brought to Mass the weekend of November 15th and 16th. Boxes must be delivered no later than Monday, November 17th.
If you would prefer to donate financially, please write November Outreach in the Memo Line of your check and place in the offertory basket or give to November Outreach with online giving
Instructions
1. Purchase the following items:
- 1(64 oz.) bottle of fruit juice
- 2 cans of corn or 2 cans of green beans
- 1 can of cranberry sauce
- 2 boxes (no bags) of a one-step turkey stuffing mix
- 2 cans of mixed fruit
- 1 (13.75 oz) box of instant mashed potatoes
- 2 jars ready-made turkey gravy
- 1 disposable small turkey roasting pan
- 1-$30 CUB gift card (in a separate envelope)
2. Decorate:
- A box or laundry basket with anything that would make it look colorful and festive. Ideas: construction paper, wrapping paper, stickers, writing (Happy Thanksgiving, God Bless You, etc.) on the box. Get creative to make a bright colorful basket and have fun with your family and/or friends!
3. Thanksgiving Card:
- Make or purchase a Thanksgiving greeting card. Nothing fancy- just have fun.
This could be a great activity for the little ones!!
4. Putting it all Together:
- Place all the items on the list above in the box, with the gift card in a separate envelope from the Thanksgiving card. Please include a sheet of paper with your family name in the box for tracking purposes only.
5. Pray:
- Pray for the family receiving the basket.
6. Drop-off box at Parish:
- Baskets may be turned in at all Masses the weekend of November 15 and 16 or brought to the Parish Office between now and November 17. Parish Office hours are M-Th, 9:00am-4:00pm, F, 9:00am-1:00pm.
