Children's Ministry Leaders

Catechist:  Guide a group of 10-12 children. Attend and participate in required training, prepare and present materials. Work with Assistant Catechist. Sessions meet on Wednesday afternoons or Sunday mornings, September thru May. Training required and provided. 

Assistant Catechist: Work with the Catechist during weekly sessions, help children as needed, help with preparation as needed. Sessions meet on Wednesdays or Sunday mornings, September thru May. One day training session provided. (2 hr. weekly) 

Family Event Nights: (3 times/yr.)

- Coordinator: To assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating help Family Event

- Assistance: To help as needed with several Family Event Nights. (photograph event, setup, clean-up, serving, etc.) (3 times/yr.) 

Carpentry Helper:  Make handcrafting materials as needed in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. 

Good Shepherd Atrium Cleaner: Clean the Good Shepherd Rooms. (dusting shelves, cleaning glass items, etc.) (2-3 times/yr.) 

Good Shepherd Launderer: Assist in laundering the linens from our Good Shepherd Atria. (monthly on a rotating basis) 

Materials Maker: Help at home with materials preparation (i.e., painting, cutting out supplies)

Room Set-up: Prepare Atria for weekly use. (fill water containers, sharpen pencils, put parent notes in rooms, etc. (15-20 minutes prior to scheduled session-your child may help as well!) 

Sacrament Preparation Assistance: To assist in the workshops and retreats for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist (helping with sign-in, banner kit preparation, etc.) (several times/yr.)

Hospitality for Sacrament Preparation: To help as needed with preparation and service of food, and clean-up (2-3 times/yr.) 

Youth Faith Formation Leaders

Small Group Catechists and Co-Leaders; small groups meet Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8 pm from late Sept thru early May

Wednesday Night building monitors or substitue small group leaders; Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8 pm from late Sept thru early May

Summit Peer Ministry High School Leaders; we'll gather on the 2nd and last Tuesday of each month, October thru May

Summit Peer Ministry Young Adult and Adult Leaders; we'll gather on the 2nd and last Tuesday of each month, October thru May

Event Chaperones:  Summer Camp, Retreats, Summer Stretch, Youth Nights, Fundraisers, ect...

Prayer warriors for our youth and children needed too!
