Fall Bible Study

Begins September 22nd, Fridays from 9:45-11:30am in the Assembly Room

All are welcome, beginners and seasoned Bible readers!  Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Bible? Bible Study offers you that opportunity. The Gospel for this coming Sunday tells of the apostle Peter when his faith flounders.  What lesson can we learn from that? Each week there is one presentation on the Sunday readings, followed by small group reflection on those readings. Sessions are from 9:45-11:30 on Friday mornings in the Assembly Room.  $30 fee covers materials. Pick up a brochure at the parish office or call the parish center, 952-890-0045, to register.

St. John's Bible

Sundays, Main Church

Mary Mother has a volume of the St. John’s Bible displayed in the side Word of God chapel in the main Church on weekends. Visit it to visually experience the Word of God in print, color, illumination. In 1998, Saint John’s Abbey and University commissioned renowned calligrapher Donald Jackson to produce a hand-written, hand-illuminated Bible. We invite you to explore this work of art that unites an ancient Benedictine tradition with the technology and vision of today, illuminating the Word of God for a new millennium.
